Balthali Village Walk in Nepal

Balthali Village Walk in Nepal

Balthali Village stands on a plateau which is just beyond Khopasi, 40km away from Kathmandu. Balthali Village which is a small sleepy settlement which rests at the junction of Roshi and Ladku khola river. The area surrounding the Balthali Retreat is thickly forested with luxuriant floras, colorful rhododendron, mangolia and sal trees cover the hill that undulates and opens out to terrace fields. This 'off the beaten location' has endless trials leading to some ethnic tribes thus, offering excellent short hikes and mountain biking on the easy trials.

" Pashupatinath Temple In The Frame"

In the morning priest cleaning the temple to make worship.

FACS OF SADHUS

Early in the morning sadus preparing themselves

This Sadhu with white lines painted on foreheads very happy to pose for the photographs.

This  sadhu has such long hair and whiskers. He let down his long golden hair after i took a few shots of him.

Managed to capture this sadhu in this kuti reading vacancy section on the newspaper

Pashupathinath is Nepal's most renowned Hindu cremation site. As it said about 20 to 40 cremations per day takes here. Along the shores of the Bagmati river near the temple i saw poor people cremating dead body where they hardly managed buy enough wood to cover all the body. i wasted no time capturing this shot.

Parting Shot

On the way back, i saw naked tree which reminds me above cremating.
